As I lay down to sleep

My mind takes me back to you.

To the days when we were so in love

I am still in love with you.

You’re the one I can’t forget.

Nor do I want to.

I know I must sleep,

But sleep won’t come.

I lay there with my eyes closed.

I feel your presence,

I hear your voice,

I feel your touch.

As I lay down to sleep

My body is restless as

I toss and turn.

I want to sleep but when I do,
