Beside me

You’ve walked beside me for years

I knew you were there

Just beyond my touch

Yet I could feel your gentle touch

I knew your soothing voice

I heard your voice guiding me your way

But you were always in the shadows.

You’ve walked beside me for years

At night you invaded my sleep

Always staying in the background

Letting me know you were there

Gently kissing my neck

When I least expected it.

You’ve walked beside me for years

As I have searched the world for you

I knew you were near as

I’ve felt you all my life

Imagine my surprise when you found me

As you came out of the shadows and

Turned my dreams into reality
